Rapid Assessment on Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in Sri Lanka – National Technical Report
The Social Policy Analysis and Research Center, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo was selected by the Sri Lankan Chapter of the International Labour Organization.
The study on Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in Sri Lanka is a requirement made by the Sri Lankan chapter of the Project for Country Level Engagement and Assistance/ Cooperation to Reduce Child Labour (CLEAR Project) according to a request made by the Ministry of Interior and the National Child Protection Authority. that supports its mandate of reducing/ eradicating all forms of child labour in its partner countries. The research project is scheduled to be conducted from 24th of August 2016 to 31st of March 2017 in the districts of Colombo, Galle, Anuradhapura,Pollonnaruwa,Rathnapura,Trincomalee and Gampaha. Dr. Subahangi M.K Herath is the principal investigator of the study ,while Dr. Nishara Fernando is the co-investigator.
